MEET YOUR ADVOCATE

Welcome to Making A Difference Advocacy!

I'm Mary Ardolino, founder and CEO, and I'm so glad you're here. With over 13 years of experience in special education, I'm deeply committed to helping families navigate the challenges of advocating for children with disabilities.

After many years working within the public education system, I witnessed firsthand the struggles families face in securing the right services and support for their children. In April 2022, I made the decision to leave my role in public education and start Making A Difference Advocacy. My goal is simple: to empower parents, guardians, and families by guiding them through the often-complicated special education system and ensuring their children get the personalized education and resources they need to thrive.

My qualifications reflect my deep commitment to special education and leadership. I hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Special Education, an Educational Specialist degree in K-12 School Leadership, and a Doctorate in K-12 School Leadership. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of serving in various roles, including middle school special education teacher, department chair, instructional specialist, and district-level director of student services. These experiences have given me invaluable insight into how school systems operate and the unique challenges families face when advocating for their children.

At Making A Difference Advocacy, our mission is to partner with families, educators, and communities to create inclusive learning environments. We focus on supporting the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and advocating for the rights of children with disabilities. My goal is to help families understand their rights, secure the services their children need, and confidently navigate the educational system. Through personalized advocacy and support, we aim to break down barriers, encourage independence, and help every child reach their full potential.

I founded Making A Difference Advocacy because I truly believe that one person can make a difference. Every child deserves an education that's tailored to their unique needs, and it's my passion to help make that happen. Thank you for visiting—I'm excited to work with you and support your child's journey to success.
